This series consists of the file copies of the Governor's speeches and remarks made at various occasions and to various bodies. The series consists of typescript copies of the speeches occasioned with the Governor's remarks and notations. The speeches run the full gamut of speech types from the Governor's state of the state address to a commencement speech at a local university to a speech on social action given to a state organization. These speeches are filed separately as their own series, while those prior to 1984 are filed in the Press Secretary's subject files.

George Corley Wallace Jr. (August 25, 1919 – September 13, 1998) was an American politician who served as the 45th Governor of Alabama for four terms.
